“The majority is pretty much remodeling. I’d say it’s 98 percent of our business – replacing windows, siding, roofs, doors, and adding insulation.”

Insulation? Yes, a lot of the recent business has been installing proper amounts of insulation, as well as ventilating and reenforcing attics due to ice dams and backedup water leaking into homes.

It all adds up to energy efficiency, something Ryan is committed to in his line of work. Especially when it comes to windows.

“We want to provide the highest-quality product to the homeowner,” Ryan said. “Renewal by Andersen windows are very energy efficient. We insulate and seal the window into the opening in the installation process. It provides for a nice, tight energy-efficient seal. In many cases it can improve the efficiency up to 60 percent or more.”

And, if you’re thinking it’s too cold to replace your windows at this time of year, think again. “It doesn’t take long,” Ryan said.

“Our windows are made to order, so they’re made to fit into the opening, and it goes relatively fast. In most cases, the window is only out for about 10 minutes. The whole process takes about an hour to an hour and half per window, depending on the size.”

The company of trained professionals has well over 30 years’ experience in the industry.

Remodeling Magazine recently listed their top 550 remodelers in the nation, and Ryan Windows & Siding placed 80th in the nation in replacement contractors.

The home show runs Feb. 11 through 13 at the Mayo Civic Center.
